Mini Ha Ha Horse Haven is based in North Canterbury, New Zealand and is a safe place for abandoned, abused or neglected miniature horses, ponies and donkeys.
Thanks to dedicated animal lovers like you who give so generously, rescued animals come to The Haven to heal and rehabilitate.
With many of the ponies coming to The Haven as chronic laminitis sufferers, for their welfare and happiness, most of these little guys will live out their days with us.
Currently, there are 24 life-time ponies in our care and at a cost of $40 per pony per week we are desperately in need of your help.
While a gift of $40 per week would sponsor a mini's on-going needs including veterinary bills, speciality feeds & hay, expensive medications, hoof trims, teeth floating, bodywork and care, any amount you could give today would be incredibly appreciated.
Your gift will also help with the education and empowerment of horse owners world-wide on the prevention and treatment of Laminitis and Cushing's disease.
Can you help?
Every dollar you give will help raise the $70,000 these wee guys need in 2021 to for their ongoing care in a safe and happy environment.
Because of wonderful people like you who give so generously, these ponies finally have the life they deserve. Thank you again, it means the world.
To make your gift, please select either a one-off or weekly gift option below followed by the amount you'd like to give.

When Harry arrived we thought we would need to put under his belly to help him stand
On his way to recovery, now holding his own weight with the help of the balance pad, munching his low-sugar hay.
Poor Harry didn't know what he'd done wrong?
Just standing quietly in his paddock hurt now.
He continued to do the best he could, but over time his little metabolism couldn't cope and his hooves began to break down.
Harry didn't understand that it was the grass he loved to eat was slowly killing him.
His owners didn't realise anything was wrong until one morning they noticed Harry had stopped walking. His feet too painful to take even one more step.
While they quickly went to see what was wrong, the long-term damage was done.
At just 4 years old, they decided because of his immense pain, the kindest thing to do would be to put Harry to sleep.
Thankfully a friend heard about Harry and told his owners to call us at the Mini Ha Ha Horse Haven.
When we arrived Harry was in a bad way. He could barely support his own weight and even with pain killers, we had to pick up each leg in turn to help him move from the barn into the float.
Little Harry was so brave. He tried so hard, his sweet nature shining through despite his pain.
Harry's owners loved him but simply didn't understand the care he had needed. Thankfully they agreed to surrender him to The Haven for a second chance.
Thankfully, donations from kind people in the community ensured Harry would soon have the urgent help he needed.
Harry's rehabilitation started immediately. Almost unable to support his own body weight, we considered placing a sling under his belly to help him stand, gave him pain killers to keep him comfortable and began the long process of helping his little feet and body heal.
Harry, well he was a fighter and thanks to generous people like you who supported his recovery, we and we are proud to say that within 3 months Harry was galloping and bucking happily once again!
It’s hard to imagine, before his rescue, he was just days from being euthanised.
Harry was one of our toughest founder rehab's. It took a huge team of vets and care-givers to bring him back to full health including wonderful animal lovers who donated towards his care.
We are so proud of Harry not only for his recovery with Founder but for keeping his cheeky, brave personality through it all.
Harry rehabilitated, freshly clipped and ready to start enjoying his life with his new adopted family. They have since trained him to pull a cart, a job he loves and is great at! We're so proud of you Harry!
